Born and raised just outside Philly, AJ Shreffler moved to Denver in a pursuit to bring traditional East Coast food to one of the fastest growing culinary scenes in the US. His first hoagie was made in his apartment way back in 2018 and his following has since grown exponentially. Hoagie fans throughout Colorado have flocked to wherever his food truck landed to grab what have been described as some of the best cheesesteaks and hoagies in the state.
Now, AJ and his talented team bring their good eats to Out of the Barrel. The seasonally changing menu brings the freshest ingredients from local CO sources, combining the local craft beer concept with the local food concept into one of the best food and beverage concepts in all of Denver.
Baking his bread fresh every morning and using traditional Philly ingredients such as whiz, Cooper’s Sharp, and ribeye rather than sirloin, these hoagies are not to be missed.
